Global Youth Connect's mission is to build and support a community of youth who actively promote and protect human rights, and to educate and inspire the next generation to work for peaceful change.
Since our founding in 1997, a deep-rooted desire to end the dehumanization and devastation of genocide and mass violence has inspired our work. We believe that the promotion and protection of human rights is a key to preventing conflict. Furthermore, we know that youth must play a leading role as peacebuilders.
We currently run human rights education and activism programs in the United States as well as in Bosnia, Cambodia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nepal, Rwanda and Venezuela. These programs address the needs of both established youth activists who are already leaders in their communities as well as youth who are just starting to get involved in human rights work.
To better understand why our work matters, read more about our recent work connecting, training and support youth human rights activists.
